1. Prepare: Heat water to a temperature between 195°F and 205°F (90°C to 96°C).
2. Grind: Grind 1 ounce (about 4 tablespoons) of coffee beans to a medium-fine consistency per cup.
3. Rinse: Place the stainless steel pour-over filter on top of a mason jar and rinse it with hot water to remove any residual taste and preheat the equipment.
4. Add Coffee: Add the ground coffee to the filter, ensuring it is evenly distributed.
5. Bloom: Pour about 2 ounces (1/4 cup) of hot water over the coffee, allowing it to bloom for 30 seconds. This helps release trapped gases for a more balanced extraction.
